Hi everyone, my name is Michael, I'm from Belgium and live near Antwerp, the city of diamonds! I'm currently 19 years old and I've been following tennis about a year or 4 now. So, who are my favorites? On the men's side undisputedly Marat Safin, followed by Andre Agassi and then Rafael Nadal and Carlos Moya both at third. Others I like are Joachim Johanssonand finally Sjeng Schalken from The Netherlands. I simply love the game Marat plays; a fast, consistent backhand, an incredible service and a pounding forehand. The way he can dictate a the flow of a match... only Roger matches him regarding that aspect. In my opinion, of course. Moreover, his sense of humour is just great and the contrast between hilarious, joking around-Marat and angry, racketthrowing-Marat is also quite fascinating. That, in my opinion, is why Marat simply rules! On the women's side two girls are still fighting (they have been for three years now) for the #1 spot, namely Elena Dementieva and Daniela Hantuchova. This has a pleasant advantage: whenever they play each other, I never feel bad about my fave losing because the other one advances. What I like about our Blonde Cotton Server is the fact that dispite her serve, she still manages to play at such a high level. There where other players gain an advantage when serving, she does not and still she's top of the world, thanks to her unmatched return-abilities, solid groundstrokes, amazing speed and great movement. I just wish she'd come to terms with her dropshots, because there's room for improvement there. Plus I hope she'll grow to become mentally tougher, which could give her the edge in close matches. What I like best about Daniela is the high level of technique she masters. She really knows how to use every inch of the court, and then is able to finish a point with either a dropshot or a wonderful backhand down the line. In my opinion she is a more complete player than Elena, but unfortunately she lacks movement and in my opinion also a bit of mental toughness. She is currently on her way back from a slump due to personal difficulties, and I hope I'll eventually be seeing her in the top 10 again. I know she has the skills for it. Other girls that appeal to me are Maria Sharapova, Anastasia Myskina, Tatiana Golivin, Gisela Dulko, Jelena Dokic and in a less extent Amélie Mauresmo and Justine Hénin Hardenne. Besides tennis I also like football, formula 1 (+plus endurance races such as Le Mans, Spa-Francorchamps, Sebring, ...), athletics and international volleybal. Well, that was my introduction. Hope you didn't fall asleep while reading it!

Hi, I am female and from Great Britain. Age = old enough to know better but never too old to watch tennis (ha ha!) Favourite player Federer followed by (in no special order) Haas, Gaudio, Nalbandian, Coria (anything from Argentina really!), Nadal, Ferrero, Malisse, etc. Female players - Williams sisters, Clijsters and Davenport. I work in an office but also do freelance work doing people's gardens, sweating, getting muddy (and getting paid for it!!) Besides tennis my big passion is animals and I own 2 dogs, 7 guineapigs, 4 hens and a cockatiel! I am also married so I really am old enough to know better!! LOL... ;D
