Yeah, I hope so too. And I think he will. I mean, it's hardcourt, and we saw how even Roger could not stop him at the Australian Open. His backhand is so consistent, and well, that flat forehand is simply awesome... I really like his game and the passion he displays on court. And let's not forget how hilarious he can be Even though this type of hardcourt might be a bit faster than that at the Australian Open, I do think we can see him as THE favorite along with Roger. Go Marat, win that third Grand Slam!!!

Lets see how he gets on today against andy murray. although he aint faced such an high sees before. Safin will not walk over him. to say how high he is in the world rankings. he doesnt get the press hewitt, federer and roddick get. but he gets on with it without people talking about him. there is less presure on him. he could be a serious threat at the US and this week at the masters.

What I saw of Murray at Wimbledon did impress me, but I still think Marat will win in two, perhaps with a tiebreak in one of the sets. Although, if Murray does take a set, it will not surprise me.

Safin won in 3 sets. but murray took one off him 6-1. now hes at an all time high of 122 in the world. hes missed out on a wildcard for the US open. but hopefully he will win his qualifiers this week.
